Fleece wrapped

Wrapped in fleece, the day grows thin,
Its noise fades softly from within.
I tuck the edges ‘round my knees,
A quiet harbor made of ease.

The world retreats; the blanket stays—
A gentle weight, a hush that lays
Across my chest like evening skies.
I breathe, I settle, I close my eyes.

Warmth gathers where the fabric meets,
A whispered calm, a pulse that beats
More slowly now, like drifting tides
That smooth the mind as daylight hides.

And in that stillness, soft and deep,
I float toward the edges of sleep,
Where all that’s left is peaceful, light—
Fleece-wrapped, eyes closed, and safe tonight.

I am currently raising money to pay for ongoing psychotherapy. I am a survivor of complex trauma, I have dissociative identity disorder, and complex PTSD.  Therapy can be very expensive.
