A window waits in winter’s hush,
Frost tracing lace along the frame;
Beyond it drifts the season’s blush—
Red leaves that never learned to flame.

They linger on the quiet tree,
Defying snow’s persistent claim,
A last warm echo, stubborn, free,
A whispered ember in the same.

Inside, the soft-lit candles glow,
Carols thread the gentle air;
Outside, the leaves in crimson show
A Christmas blessing unaware.

Two worlds meet upon the glass—
Warm breath, cold night, and drifting eves.
In stillness, time and wonder pass
By a window dressed in red-leafed dreams.
