Reena has a great challenge for us this week, a sentence, to spark our creative juices.
If I fall, I will take you all down. If I rise ……… tell me where you want to go?
Who is the character saying this? What is the probable situation?
This line could also be reframed as a metaphor for consequence—the idea that no downfall is isolated, and every collapse shakes the structures around it. A downfall is not yours alone; it is the collapse of everything built upon your silence. When you rise, you raise the bar for others.
There is no restriction on the length or format of the piece. There is no last date unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.
We will not include any posts that are found to be offensive, vulgar or hurt ordinary sensibilities. This needs to be a safe space.
Create a post on your blog and copy-paste the link in the Comments. If you use a pingback, check to see if it has worked. I have come across cases where the pingback did not work, and I missed including the piece in the Weekly Wrap.
Reena’s Xploration Challenge #407 – Creative Experiments and More
When the ground rushes up
and the sky disappears,
when dust fills your lungs
and hope stings your eyes—
breathe.
For even the earth
cradles what falls.
Even the quiet
knows how to hold you.
Stay a moment,
feel the trembling cease.
There is no shame
in the stillness between wounds
and wings.
Then gather the fragments—
the jagged, the gentle,
the parts that remember light.
Stand slowly,
like dawn learning its own warmth.
And rise—
not as you were,
but as something forged,
tempered,
undeniably whole.

Talk to me! I love comments!
