I just enjoyed a ham and cheese toasty!

I think Americans call it grilled cheese, but we don’t call it that, we just call it a toasted sandwich.

It was so yummy!

I had to write a poem about the experience of eating it!

Pleases hunger
Pleases soul
Soul feels full
Soul feels whole

Whole and happy
Whole and warm
Warm as sunshine
Warm as charm

Charm of lunch
Charm of ease
Ease the craving
Ease to please

Please the stomach
Please the day
Day feels better
Day feels play

Play with flavor
Play with heat
Heat of sandwich
Heat so sweet

Sweet and simple
Sweet delight
Delight in crumbs
Delight in bite

Bite of comfort

Gold to hold
