Ok, here is what I came up with!
❤
I wrote a prose poem!
😊
In the dim workshop where the morning light filters through dust and silence, the craftsperson bends to their work. Wood, or metal, or clay—it hardly matters. What matters is the dialogue between hand and material, the way the chisel speaks in a language older than words. Each stroke is a question, each curl of shaving an answer.
They do not hurry. Time, here, is elastic—drawn out by the patience of precision. The world outside hums its distracted tune, but within these four walls, the rhythm is steady as breath. A rasp against grain, a brush smoothing varnish, the small, sacred noises of making.
There is no audience, no applause. Only the quiet satisfaction of form finding its purpose. The finished piece—whatever it is—will go out into the world and be touched by other hands, unseen, unknowing. And yet, some trace of the maker remains: a fingerprint beneath glaze, a curve that remembers care.
The craftsperson wipes their brow, sets down the tool. The light has shifted; the day has gone. But on the workbench lies proof that devotion can take shape, that the humble act of shaping is itself a kind of prayer.

Talk to me! I love comments!
