Beneath the moon’s soft silver glow,
Down leaf-strewn streets the children go,
With capes that billow, masks that gleam,
They wander through a pumpkin dream.
Their laughter dances on the breeze,
Among the ghosts and whispering trees,
A knock, a giggle, candy’s chime—
A spell of joy, one house at a time.
“Trick or treat!” the chorus rings,
A magic phrase the nighttime brings,
For every door a world anew,
Of chocolate coins and caramel too.
And when the stars begin to fade,
They count their treasures, unafraid,
For Halloween’s brief, wondrous feat—
A world made bright by trick or treat. 🎃
