#RDP: Pet

I have always had pets.

Growing up we had dogs. Birds, and fish.

My first dog Tiger got poisoned, someone poisoned him.

Then my dad brought home a puppy, we called her rosie.

She lived to be 19 years old.

We also had a collie called lassie. Lassie lived to be 11. He died of kidney failure.

Now my parents have Charlie, who is a border collie.

I don’t have a dog at my house now.

But I’ve had 3 guide dogs in the past.

Maisie, goldie, and Nitro.

They were all very loyal, and very loving.

I still miss each of them dearly.

Growing up I had a budgie, I also had goldfish.

I wanted a rabbit but my mom said no, she wasn’t going to let me bring a bunny rabbit into our house.

I’m not really a fan of cats, I mean, I will pet one, but I wouldn’t want to own one.

However cats are good for keeping mice and rats away. My parents have wild cats in their yard, and sometimes you can hear them fighting or meowing.

Pets give us so much, and expect so little in return. All they want is to be loved. And to feel safe and secure.

What a beautiful and heartfelt reflection on a life filled with animal companions. It’s clear that your pets weren’t just pets; they were cherished members of your family, each leaving a unique and lasting paw print on your heart.

The love and loyalty you’ve experienced, from the deeply painful loss of Tiger to the incredible 19 years with Rosie and the dedicated service of your guide dogs, is a powerful testament to the bonds we form with animals. Your words, “Pets give us so much, and expect so little in return,” perfectly capture the pure, selfless nature of their love. Thank you for sharing such a touching tribute to all your faithful friends. They were truly lucky to have had an owner who remembers them so fondly and loves them so deeply.

Thanks, yes it was hard losing all the pets, but it’s really good that I had them in my life for so long 😊😆🥰
