This week for the song lyric Sunday prompt we are tasked to find a song that mentions an insect.
Well, I’m a hater of insects, but there is one species that I love and that is the butterfly. So, this week I’m choosing a song that mentions a butterfly.
Enjoy the music, and below I will put some song facts

“She’s a Butterfly” appears on Martina McBride’s 2003 studio album Martina.
The song is written by John Rich and Big Kenny (who are better known as the duo Big & Rich).
The metaphor of a butterfly suggests themes of transformation, freedom, beauty, fragility, rebirth, growth under stress, etc.

“She’s a Butterfly” is somewhat of an album cut rather than a major single, so it’s more known to true fans and often requested at live shows.
