The community center buzzed with energy on Orange Shirt Day. A sea of bright shirts filled the park as neighbors, elders, and children gathered to honor survivors and remember the importance of reconciliation. Laughter echoed from the games corner, where kids painted orange butterflies on each other’s cheeks. At the storytelling tent, an elder shared memories, her words carried with respect and curiosity. A group of teens strummed guitars, singing songs of hope and resilience, while families joined in clapping and dancing. Volunteers handed out bannock and tea, inviting everyone to sit together at long tables, strangers becoming friends. The mural wall grew steadily brighter as people added orange handprints, symbolizing unity and healing. As the sun set, the crowd released orange balloons, a gentle tribute to the children who never came home. Smiles and tears mingled, but the spirit of togetherness shone strongest of all.

I am currently raising money to pay for ongoing psychotherapy. I am a survivor of complex trauma, I have dissociative identity disorder, and complex PTSD.  Therapy can be very expensive.

If you feel like donating to my fund you can donate using pay pal. My pay pal email for donating is:
