Dissociating

I drift, untethered,
the clock is a quiet ghost
humming somewhere far away.

The second hand dissolves,
minutes spill like water
through a broken glass—
I cannot hold them.

Somewhere, the world keeps moving:
a train on its endless track,
metal against metal,
screaming forward without me.

I blink—
the sun has shifted,
the room tilts into another hour.
My body sits still,
but my mind has wandered
beyond the map of now.

When I return,
I do not know from where.
Only the echo remains,
and time—
already gone.

Thank you for reading, liking, and commenting to my posts.  It is very appreciated.

I am currently raising money to pay for ongoing psychotherapy. I am a survivor of complex trauma, I have dissociative identity disorder, and complex PTSD.  Therapy can be very expensive.

If you feel like donating to my fund you can donate using pay pal. My pay pal email for donating is:

Don’t feel you have to, there is no pressure, but I’m grateful for any donations that are received.

Again thanks for visiting!
