Comments:
This is a gripping, suspenseful police procedural set in England. I’m not familiar with a few of the idioms found in this story, but this only detracted slightly. Context usually makes it clear enough. My main complaint about this story is that, in an effort to generate extreme suspense, the main character is subjected to too much violence and recovers too quickly to be reasonable. It’s just too unrealistic.
Jan Cramer gives a quite acceptable performance. The story is complete with no cliffhanger or lead-in to the next book in the series. I would have appreciated a bit more detail about what happened to the "bad guys"
though.
