Battling sleep

We are too tired to write a poem

We are too tired to sleep

When paused to feel our body’s tome

Our head pounds to our feet

Our eyes droop our neck aches

We barely keep on typing

Yet when we leap up off the couch

Our visage is quite frightening

Stop! We say…let us live!

Let us keep on fighting!

But soon our words they drift away

Our mind slows down our writing.

We feel our feet we feel our head

We start to dream of sleeping

And so we wander up to bed

Lest we get lost in weeping

Thank you for reading, liking, and commenting to my posts.  It is very appreciated.

I am currently raising money to pay for ongoing psychotherapy. I am a survivor of complex trauma, I have dissociative identity disorder, and complex PTSD.  Therapy can be very expensive.

If you feel like donating to my fund you can donate using pay pal. My pay pal email for donating is:

Don’t feel you have to, there is no pressure, but I’m grateful for any donations that are received.

Again thanks for visiting!
