Wrote thank-you notes none could forget,
Her manners so neat,
Made hosts feel complete,
And won her the town’s best coquette.
A gent with a warm, steady charm,
Kept tempers from coming to harm,
His manners were grand,
Like a steadying hand,
A true social-weather alarm.
