Melissa’s Fandango Flash Fiction Challenge #314 – Mom With a Blog

The image depicts a brown bear lying on the grass on his belly. Above him are flowering branches on a white cherry blossom tree.

Here is my response!

Underneath the cherry bloom,

In the soft, serene afternoon,

A brown bear lies upon the ground,

In tranquil peace, he can be found.

His fur a coat of earthen hue,

Contrasts the blossoms’ light pink view,

Petals dance upon the breeze,

Whispering secrets to the trees.

The world a hush, a lullaby,

As blossoms drift from branches high,

To settle gently on his back,

A touch so light, a kiss, no lack.

The bear, he dreams of distant streams,

Of summers past and honeyed dreams,

Yet here he finds a moment’s grace,

In springtime’s gentle, warm embrace.

Above, the blossoms’ fleeting bloom,

A symbol of life’s sweet perfume,

Ephemeral, yet deeply felt,

In every petal, stories melt.

The bear and tree, a perfect scene,

A testament to nature’s sheen,

In stillness, beauty’s truth is laid,

Beneath the cherry tree’s soft shade.
