Simply 6 Minutes – Welcome to the Challenge: 03/25/2025 – Stine Writing
In a park on a sunny day,
There sat a dad in a curious way,
He’d traded his sneakers for a seat so small,
In a toddler’s stroller, he felt ten feet tall!
With a grin on his face and a playful cheer,
He declared, "Watch out, world! I’m the new frontier!"
His toddler, so tiny, with muscles so grand,
Pushed the dad forward, like a brave little man.
"Vroom vroom!" went the stroller, wheels spinning round,
As dad held on tight – oh, what a sight he found!
His coffee cup bounced in a perilous way,
While squirrels and pigeons all stopped to stay.
"Onward, my pirate!" Dad called with delight,
As they zoomed past the swings, a comical sight.
"Faster, my captain! To the land of the free!"
While a group of ducks quacked, "Now isn’t that glee?"
The toddler pushed harder, giving it all,
While dad wobbled sideways, he started to stall.
A slide up ahead — oh, this could be fun!
With a squeal of laughter, "To the slide! We run!"
But the toddler, determined, kept steady the pace,
While dad tried to steer, he was losing the race!
With a wiggle and jiggle, they flew down the hill,
Dad’s heart raced in terror, yet he loved it still.
As they reached the bottom, what came next was clear,
Dad was now rolling, “I’m stuck!” he did cheer.
With gravity’s pull and some giggling gasps,
He found himself toppled, squished between laps.
Finally righted, with grass in his hair,
The toddler looked up, "More rides over there!"
So back in the stroller, dad plopped down right,
"Just push me to lunch, it’s been quite the flight!"
In a stoller designed for a child who so small,
Dad learned life’s joy in a compacted haul.
With a whoosh and a laugh, they continued their quest,
For the silliest journeys are surely the best!
