I’ve been on Depakote for years, for mood stabilisation.
I’ve done some research, and found out that it is a massive contributor to weight gain.
So when I next see Dr. Barry, I’m going to ask her if I can be taken off of it and put on something that doesn’t make me gain weight.
No matter what I do I’m not losing weight, and I even am taking Ozempic, and still see very little results.
I think if I come off of the Depakote, I’ll see some progress.
Granted, I have not been doing much lately to take care of my health, like exercising, or eating right.
I was all plans after Christmas, but then, I fell off the wagon and that was that.
Well, come Monday, I’m back on the wagon!
I’m going to exercise daily from Monday to Friday, and then take weekends off.
I’m also going to be more mindful of the food I am choosing to eat.
I could stand to lose around 70 pounds.
I mean I’m very overweight for my height, and I really should do something about it.
I hope Dr. Barry agrees with me, and she’ll take me off the Depakote.
She’s always really good about listening to my concerns, so I don’t see why she wouldn’t.
I hope I’m right.

Talk to me! I love comments!
