Last week I had to have my therapy session online over zoom.
That is not an ideal way to do psychotherapy.
We were doing EMDR, and processing a memory.
That isn’t an ideal way to do EMDR either.
I love zoom, and I’m thankful it exists, but face to face, in person sessions just work better for me.
I would rather be physically in the same room as my therapist.
Her presence soothes and calms me.
It was good during covid, that we had a way to still have sessions.
But online? Nope. I don’t enjoy it.
Face to face will always be my preference.
