In sleepless nights, when thoughts refuse to rest,
My weary mind entangled in a snare.
The moonlight casts its glow upon my nest,
Yet peace remains a fleeting, rare affair.
Through silent hours, I count each restless sigh,
A world of dreams remains just out of reach.
The darkness holds no answers to my why,
Its whispers fail, my heartstrings do not breach.
The clock’s relentless march through time persists,
As I lie captive to the shadow’s reign.
My body’s plea for slumber, it resists,
The solace of the night, a distant gain.
Oh, cruel insomnia, your grip is tight,
To find sweet sleep, my ever-longing fight.
