In the stillness, shadows stretch and creep,

Engulfing the remnants of light,

A blanket of night descends.

Echoes of my footsteps dissolve,

Swallowed by the void,

Each sound, a distant memory.

Breath becomes a whisper,

Eyes search for familiar forms,

But find only the vast, consuming black.

The world recedes,

Contours blur and fade,

Boundaries dissolve into the abyss.

Heartbeats quicken,

A staccato rhythm in the silent expanse,

Yet, within the darkness, a strange calm.

Here, in the absence,

Thoughts float, untethered,

Imagination paints unseen landscapes.

Swallowed by darkness,

I become part of the infinite,

Lost, yet found within its embrace.
