In a vast and lonely world, Clara sat at the edge of the river, her heart heavy with unspoken secrets. The moon hung high, casting a silver glow over the water, illuminating the silence that enveloped her. She had come to this place to escape, to find solace in the fading light, but the ache within her refused to fade.
As she watched the river flow, Clara couldn’t help but feel a connection to its endless journey—a journey that mirrored her own. Every ripple seemed to whisper the words of her unwritten novel, each wave echoing the emotions she was unable to voice. Faces of friends and memories of laughter danced in her mind, but they were mere shadows in the darkness that now surrounded her.
Nights like these were when she truly felt alone, despite the world bustling around her. She would often wake with a start, haunted by dreams of what could have been. The laughter, the joy, all faded to a whisper, yet the weight of her choices pressed down on her like a shroud. Clara longed for the courage to confront her truths, to unravel the knot of regret that clenched at her heart.
Silently, she dipped her fingers into the cold water, the shock jolting her back to the present. The river continued its endless quest, indifferent to her pain. And as she watched the moonlight dance on its surface, a flicker of understanding stirred within her. To be alone didn’t mean to be abandoned. Maybe, just maybe, the journey through darkness was a necessary road to finding one’s own light. With a deep breath, she resolved to awaken her voice and let the river carry away her burdens, beginning anew.
