Everyone just assumes
That because Halloween is over
The trauma and devastation
Is over too
But I am here to say
That isn’t true
It is not just one day
Not for me
Or for the many other ritual abuse survivors
Just because October 31st has passed
Still we’re stuck
We’re right back in the past
