My glimmers

I am feeling so triggered so much of the time, so today, I thought I’d write about the opposite of triggers, which is, glimmers.

What are some of my glimmers?

Ok, number one is, Charlie! My parents dog! He always brightens my day!

Music is another glimmer for me. I like to put on a playlist on Spotify and rock out to it!

Reading books like the secret garden, or Heidi, or little house on the prairie, are all glimmers for me!

It immediately transports me back to childhood. My childhood wasn’t all sunshine and roses, but parts of it were good, and reading these books brings up nice memories of my childhood for me.

Spending time with my family is another glimmer for me! Especially, spending time with my mom and sister.

Next week, On Wednesday, I’m taking both my mom and sister out for lunch. It’s a late birthday celebration for my mom. We’re going to go to an Asian restaurant, which I can’t wait for.

Technology and using it is also a glimmer for me! I love my computer, I love my iPhone and I love all of the useful tech that makes life as a blind person that little bit easier!

What are your glimmers?

Written in response to the Friday writings prompt, glimmers.

I really like this idea of glimmers! Digging in the dirt, cultivating flowers, hearing Eagle laughter down the hall, hearing my husband hum complicated jazz tunes, writing, and reading my blogging friends’ poetry -especially yours. xo

Thank you for reading, liking, and commenting to my posts.  It is very appreciated.

I am currently raising money to pay for ongoing psychotherapy. I am a survivor of complex trauma, I have dissociative identity disorder, and complex PTSD.  Therapy can be very expensive.

If you feel like donating to my fund you can donate using pay pal. My pay pal email for donating is:

Don’t feel you have to, there is no pressure, but I’m grateful for any donations that are received.

Again thanks for visiting!
