This week for his provocative question, Fandango is asking us…
What are your primary sources for news? How confident are you that those sources are presenting the news accurately, factually, and without bias?
I watch a fair amount of news. I mean I don’t go overboard with it, but I do watch a couple of different news channels on a daily basis.
For Irish news, I watch a channel called, virgin media, I think their news is good. It is balanced, and mostly factual.
There are a wide variety of news stories, from both Ireland, and further afield.
For UK news I watch sky news, or the BBC!
I enjoy both channels. I will usually watch the BBC first thing in the morning, and I will watch sky sometimes if I am flicking channels and there is nothing else on that I want to watch.
We also get other news channels, I get CNN, fox news, France 24, amongst others.
I occasionally will watch the American news, but both the Irish and UK news channels talk about American news too a lot.
Do I enjoy watching the news? Well, not exactly, I mean, mostly it is depressing, and bad, although, sometimes there are positive news stories as well.
