I miss being in stage school. It was so much fun!
I had so many friends there. It was somewhere where I could let go and where I thrived.
This week, the stage school that I went to put on a pantomime.
It was the first time the kids had performed since covid hit.
At the stage school, drama is a big part of their classes. They also do singing, dance classes, and other types of classes.
They usually will put on a plan or a show two or three times a year.
I didn’t get in to see the panto they’d put on which was aladdin.
I was disappointed that I never got tickets to see it.
Actually, come to think of it, I haven’t been to the theatre since before covid hit.
I miss not going.
I went to stage school for 4 or 5 years, and I really loved every second of it.
I was in my teens when I went.
I was painfully shy and didn’t like attention on me. But when I was performing, I was someone else. I could be someone else.
I have to say it was the best five years of my life!
If I had kids, I’d definitely enroll them in stage school if I could afford to do it.
It makes you very confident and outgoing.
