I am slow moving this morning
Like a turtle
My joints ache
I will my body to cooperate
It doesn’t listen
All there seems to be is pain
Creaking bones
Pain upon breathing
I count, breath in and out
Nothing is soothing
No, my body doesn’t want to work with me today
So like a turtle I hide away.
