Dawn breaks
Light pours in
Bridges the gap
Between night and day
I slowly sit up
Rub my eyes
Birds chirp
My dog comes in to greet me
As I pat his head
I joyfully jump out of bed
Go to the kitchen
Make myself a coffee
And start my day
