Nothing makes me happier at christmas time than going to the pantomime. I normally go with my mom and sister and my sisters 2 kids. We go to the cork opera house pantomime, the cork opera house is a huge venue, its amazing and I love going there. Many a year I spent on stage there as a young child and teen, as I was in stage school for many years.
Often we’d do shows at christmas, and very often we would also be in the pantomime, I have many happy memories of tap dancing on stage, and of singing christmas songs, songs from disney movies, and many other songs from the musicals.
Those were the good old days. Being in stage school was a wonderful experience, I made many friends and we enjoyed laughing and having lots of fun.
It was an escape from the abuse I was going through back then, I would throw myself into practicing and escape from the pain of the abuse.
