dr. barry sat opposite me. we were chatting about the recent therapy break. then we got on to chatting about my appointments with her being spaced out now, two weeks apart.
She spoke to me in that kind, gentle voice she sometimes uses.

I never thought I’d be able to do it, I never thought I could go longer than a week between apts.
