What do you see #279- 10 March’ 2025 – Keep it alive
Here is my response to this week’s picture!
😊
In the hush of dawn, where sky and sea blur,
a father cradles the laughter of his daughter,
her small hand fitting perfectly in his,
like the first warm rays of sunlight
slipping through the folds of night.
They stand at the edge of the world,
where waves weave stories
in the salt-stained air,
each crash a heartbeat,
a pulse of time stretching across the shore.
She giggles, her voice a silver bell,
as the tide kisses her toes,
tiny feet dancing,
leaping between bubbles and foamy edges,
where earth meets the endless whisper of ocean.
He catches her in a swing of arms,
her squeal mingling with the gulls’ cries,
the horizon breathing in tandem with their joy,
each moment pitching like a boat on the swell
of an uncharted adventure.
The sun climbs higher, painting their shadows long,
each footprint they leave behind,
a testament to this ephemeral haven,
where time is measured not in clocks,
but in grains of sand and heartbeats shared.
He points to the waves,
his words swimming in the salt air,
“See, my love, those waves—they rise and fall,
just like the days, sometimes gentle,
sometimes wild, but always here.”
She watches, wide-eyed,
the frothy dance of nature,
her laughter threading through the breeze,
a song as timeless as the surf,
as fragile as the shells at their feet.
And in that quiet communion,
beneath a sky stitched with clouds,
father and daughter,
anchored by love,
find eternity in a fleeting moment—
two souls adrift by the sea,
sailing on the tide of now.
