Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “spoonful.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Feb. 1, 2025 |

A spoonful of sugar, oh what a delight,

It twirls in the kitchen, it sparkles so bright.

With a hop and a skip, it dances on air,

Like a tiny white fairy without any care.

In the cupboard it giggles, in jars it will shake,

It dreams of adventures, a sweet little cake.

With a sprinkle of joy, and a dash of glee,

It whispers to muffins, "Come play with me!"

"Oh, scoop me up quickly, I’m ready to glide,

On pancakes, on waffles, let’s take a wild ride!

I’ll tickle your taste buds, make your heart sing,

With each little spoonful, oh what fun I bring!"

But beware of the salt, with its frown and its fidget,

It sulks in the shadows, looking rather midget.

It grumbles and gripes, "Why must you be sweet?

I am here for the flavor, not sugar to greet!"

So a spoonful of sugar, with a wink and a grin,

Sings songs of adventure and all the fun within.

In a world full of spices, it bubbles with cheer,

A spoonful of sugar, the happiest here!
