I wear a mask

I wear a mask,

Behind the smile, a story lies,

Silent echoes, whispered cries,

I wear a mask,

A shield for fears that haunt the night,

In shadows deep, I seek the light,

I wear a mask,

Each day a dance of courage found,

With broken wings, I learn to sound,

I wear a mask.

Yet through the cracks, the truth will shine,

Resilience blooms, a force divine.

I’ll cast aside the heavy guise,

Unmask the strength beneath the sighs.

With every tear, I rise anew,

Woven from the pain I’ve known,

A tapestry of scars and hope,

Where love will flower, and I will cope.

I wear a mask, but not for long—

The echo of my heart will be my song.
