it taunts me
all night long
willing me to give in
laughing at me
giving me glimpses of peace
but never allowing me to fully breathe
this is what anxiety feels like
a beast
a beast I’d like to sley
if only I could
I would
Oh how I hate aniety
I want an end to it
I’m done feeling anxious
But this is my life
on so many nights
It taunts me as I try to rest
And as I hope against hope
That this horrible anxiety
Will disappear
