A quiet day

I had a very quiet day at home. After the drama with the neighbour earlier, I didnt hear anything else aboutit so I assume everythings ok, and the police are now investigating.
I was exhausted by four pm, so I went to bed, to read. Of course I fell asleep. I didnt wake up until 8:30 PM. I will probably be up a while now, since I woke up so late.
I decided to cook. I made yummy sweet potato fries and some chicken, and I’ve just eaten it. It was delicious.
My plan for tomorrow is to go to the gym. My PA will be here at 9 AM. My plan is go to the gym, and then go get my weekly money out of the ATM.
Of course I am also volunteering tomorrow afternoon. And then I have college on saturday all day. We’re doing the second wrap training. I’m going to mom and dads for the weekend too.
Well thats about it from here. Hope all of you had a good thursday.

Slimming down…getting back on track

so as you all heard me say i am trying to get back on track with my healthy eating and weight loss plan. i started properly today. i did not find it as hard as i thought i would! here is what i ate

breakfast: a bowl of wheetabix and a cup of tea
lunch: a bowl of vegetable soup and a toasted ham and cheese sandwich
dinner:boiled potatos, roast chicken breast, and for veggies, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and peas
dessert: fresh fruit salad with natural yogurt on top
a cup of tea

i’ve been drinking plenty of water today also.

i’m finally back on track!

one of the other residents who lives here goes to slimming world, its kinda like weight watchers but better. at least i think its better.

they use sins instead of a points system, your allowed 15 sins per day. some of their foods are called speed foods, and you can eat as much of those foods as you like, mostly these foods are veg and fruit.

then there are free foods, and you can also eat as much of these as you like, so there are pasta, potatos, eggs, meat, rice, etc. all of these can be eaten a lot.

for bread there is a certain kind they use and your allowed 2 slices per day, then you have to sin things like tomato ketchup, gravy, nuts, chocolate, and other junk food, etc.

if you have a chinese take away your supposed to pick the healthiest option on the menu, so for example chicken in black bean sauce is worth 7 and a half sins. things like that.

i’m seriously thinking of joining there online site, because i could get recipes and i could also keep track of my weight that way.

has anyone else followed the slimming world diet? and if you have did you lose a lot of weight, would you recommend it?

Productive morning

I’ve had a really productive morning. I got up at 5:30 AM. Headed to the gym at 6:45: I had an awesome experience at the gym! The instructor was really friendly, he showed me what to do, and he kept checking I was ok and managing the machines and he even got me some water during the work out. I did 20 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the bike. The bike was a little hard and I felt tired afterwords. My legs started to get sore five minutes into it. But I’ll stick with it and I know it will get easier given more time. I got a timetable of the classes they offer. I want to start spinning class on Saturday mornings. I also asked the receptionist about becoming a full member. The membership fee is normally 320 euro for the year, but they have a new offer that if you go at off peak times you can get membership for 200 euros. That sounds like a great deal to me. Right now I don’t have the money so I am paying 4 euro 50 each time I go. But hopefully soon I’ll be able to join as a full member. Nitro was well looked after and when I came to get him after my workout the receptionist said he was a star and she enjoyed looking after him, she also said everyone who passed was enthralled with him. lol that’s his cute ways hahaha. Anyway I am energised now and feeling great. I’m going back again tomorrow. I’ll probably go 3 times a week to start with and once I’m a little fitter I’ll increase that. I am so happy though with the level of disability awareness that this gym has. Top marks from me go to leisure world bishops town in cork!
