Story starter challenge, an old one from march

The prompt word for this story starter was, help! A good prompt word I thought!
So here goes here is my take on it!

Help! She screamed as she jumped up out of bed! Something had startled her. She had heard a noise.
What is it? Her mom said running in!
I don’t know! She was shaking now, and starting to cry.
Big tears rolled down her face, as her mom hugged her tight.
Your ok! Nothing can harm you! Its going to be ok!
She tried to soothe her little girl, but she was so fearful it was difficult to get her to calm.
I thought, I thought someone was breaking in to our house!
No, no no! No one was doing that her mom soothed!
Now come on, come downstairs with me and I will make you a mug of hot chocolate!
The little girls eyes lit up at that suggestion. She hugged her mom one final time and then got out of bed and followed her to the door.
Are you sure its ok? She peeked around the door.
Yes, sweetie her mom said, I’m sure. Now come on, lets go!

Todays prompt:

Sitting on the front porch.

mary and sean were sitting on the front porch drinking coffee, and putting the world to rights.
What a glorious day it is, said mary!
Yes, about time it warmed up, sean mused.
They had coffee almost every day, and they would sit and chat about all sorts of things, about their days, their lives, the news, anything that took their fancy!
Today Sean was happily listening to mary chattering on about her new kittens!
That was until…until the sky turned black, and clouds started to form…
Oh no, sean cried! There’s a storm acommin!
Quick, mary shrieked, lets get inside!
So leaving all talk of cats aside, they rushed indoors, and just in time!
It began to bucket down just then!

Story starter April 8th

Why is this so heavy?
The bag weighed a ton! It must be 30 kilos, matt said!
Kilos? How many pounds is that? Yvonne asked? I am not from the UK! I dont actually know, a lot though, I’d say, matt mused.
Why do they call it pounds in the US anyway? He said wistfully…why do americans always have to use different words to england?
Because we’re superior, Yvonne teased!
With that, Matt playfully knocked her on the head! Oh, is that so?
Come on, we’re going to miss our flight if we dont hurry up and get to the airport!

Todays sentence: Youre in the wrong seat

What are you doing, max said. Move!
Move where? Jean replied.
Your in the wrong seat! You have to move!
They’d just borded the plane to go on holiday. Looking around, they’d been trying to find their seats.
None of them are numbered! Said max.
Yes, they are! Are you blind? Jean scoffed.
Max ignored her. He was too excited about their upcoming holiday.
Before he could say anything, Jean plopped down on the seat beside him.
Finally she said! I think these are our seats!
She opened her carry on, took out her latest novel, some snacks, and settled in for the flight.
Bon voyage, she chuckled.
