So this morning, when I saw Dr. Barry I asked her if she would be able to give me the results of the blood work that I had done last week.
I haven’t been able to get through to the nurse in my GP’S practice.
She was able to find my results but they are not good.
My A1C for the last 3 months is 86, a normal A1C is between 40 and 42 so mine is double that.
My cholesterol is also up a little, despite me being on a cholesterol tablet.
Dr. Barry said the A1C results are worrying, so she told me to keep ringing my GP’S surgery to see about getting an appointment with either the diabetic nurse, or my GP for a review.
So I will call again this afternoon and hope that I can get through.
I’m guessing they are going to try other meds for controlling my diabetes, since what I am on just isn’t cutting it.
My A1C was up from when I had it done in November, in November, it was only 72, now it is 86.
So yeah. I’m thinking I am going to have to make a ton of changes.
Dr. Barry said she’d have Sarah, my CPn work with me again on healthy eating, and other diet related stuff.
I find Sarah to be very helpful around all of that, and since I can’t get a nutritionist, I’m happy to work with her on it.
So we’ll just have to wait and see where all of this leads.
I’m annoyed that my results were in, and they weren’t good, and nobody at my GP’S surgery thought to call me and let me know.
It’s disgraceful.
Thank god I have Dr. Barry. At least I know that I can count on her to help me get results if I need them.
