How I spent easter this year

Joining in with Marsha’s weekly prompt, a bit late, but none the less still want to join in!
https://alwayswrite.blog/2024/03/27/wq-166-the-motivation-of-easter-the-death-of-death/This year, I spent easter in hospital.
I spent it on the psych ward!
I was glad if I am honest, because this time of year has a lot of hard trigger dates for me, being a child abuse and a ritual abuse survivor.
My PA Frances visited me on easter Saturday, bringing me chocolates and an easter egg.
So on easter Sunday, I tucked into my easter egg with glee!
Normally, if I am not in the hospital, which I haven’t been in there for a very long time at easter time, but if I wasn’t, I’d spend easter with my family.
Mom cooks a huge easter dinner.
It is amazing, and this year, because I was in hospital, she is cooking our easter dinner a week late.
We’re having turkey and all the trimmings!
Our family is not religious so I don’t go to church at easter time.
Easter for me is about the chocolate, spending quality time with family, and enjoying the present moment, since in the past it was something to feel afraid of.
Ears to a great easter?
Hope you had an eggsellent easter?
