I called south doc, our out of hours doctor service.

I spoke to a very nice nurse, and she’s going to get a doctor to call me back.

So that means I’ll have to stay up because she said there is a long delay to get a call back.

I tested my blood sugar again a few minutes ago. It was 20.8.

So it’s coming down, but very slowly.

The nurse said that the doctor will probably tell me to call my GP in the morning, but I was going to do that anyway.

I’m going to try to get a phone consultation.

I really don’t see a point in me going down to the surgery, when there really is nothing that they can do for me other than prescribe meds, I’m testing my sugars, and the only other thing they can do is try to get me an appointment to see the diabetic nurse.

Hopefully the GP will get me in to see her asap!

In the meantime he may be able to prescribe more meds or insulin or something.

So that is where things are at. When the doctor calls me back, I’ll post another update to let you all know what he said.
