The wind whips up
Bouncing off the ground
Me and Nitro
Are cosy and warm
In our cocoon
With the heat on
I hear the rain
Hammer my window paynes
Oh how glad I am
Not to be
Outside on this wet night
Our phrase for today is:
Actions speak louder than words
When it comes to being kind, actions definitely speak louder than words. Showing someone that you care, being there for them in their time of need, that is kindness.
Smiling at a friend, loved one, giving them a hug, being there to wipe away their tears, being there to listen when they need an ear or need to talk something through, that is kindness.
When it comes to being kind, your actions speak louder than any words ever could. Always be kind, show it, show you care, by doing little things, we can all talk, but can we all act on those words?
Todays expression is The squeaky wheel gets the oil
Hmmm! Really? Well, according to moi, thats really the truth!
I am loud and proud of it! When I am having an issue with something, or someone, you’ll hear me ranting and raving! I dont care if I sound whiny! I dont care if I seem insane! Unless you are loud and out there, nothing gets fixed!
Take canceling my email address with my ISP, who wanted to charge me 6 euro a month just to use it!
There was no damn way I was paying 6 euro for the use of their email service when I can get a gmail addy for free!
So what did I do?
I called them up and gave them a piece of my mind, before saying, go ahead and cancel it!
They werent impressed but did I care?
My thing was, tell them how I felt!
I am glad I did!
Are you vocal about things? Do you let people know how you feel?
Do you complain or rant a lot?
Its the only way sometimes!

Weekly Song Challenge, Round 26
Dawn looked at adam. Her blue eyes pierced right through him as she stared intently at him.
But adam, she said, with a huge sigh, you know I am right! I am far more sapient than you are!
Women are way more sapient!
Adam kept disagreeing with her! No! He shouted, It isn’t so!
Oh yeah? well then, give me 3 good reasons why it isn’t so!
Adam couldn’t give even one. So after much thinking, he gave in and walked off.
Dawn had won the argument, see?
She always knew women were more sapient than men.
They had all the answers to arguments about that too!
She decided to go see what all her friends were up to and to tell them I won an argument!
Meanwhile, Adam was busy trying to think of reasons for why men and women differed so much.
I suppose I’ll never really know, he said, as he stared glumly into his cup of tea.

ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
Every Thursday, I will pick up a “prompt word” to be acted upon by y’all. You are free to go wild with your imagination and interpret the “prompt” in any way that you like – photo, prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, quotes, articles or drawing/painting – whatever works for you!
In short, it’s all about you being the BOSS and choosing the best way possible to express and depict your understanding of the prompt and go berserk!
TOPIC FOR TODAY : FATHER/DAD/POP
My dad means the world to me. No we’ve not always had the best relationship. He’s an angry mess sometimes. But I still love him. Life hasnt been an easy ride for him.
He grew up poor, and then at age 10 he was sent to a reform school, as his mom couldnt look after him, while there, he was abused, physically and sexually.
He was there for 6 years. Then he left, and turned to alcohol to cope with his feelings. He abused alcohol for years. He married my mom when he was 27, my mom was 17. They’ve been together ever since.
My dad means the world to me. I can relate to him, and he has been good to me, he is usually the one I would turn to for advice on things.
He always looks after my dog for me when we go on holiday, he is a great cook. He has his issues, but dont we all?
I am so glad he’s my dad. He’s very special to me. A few years ago I almost lost him. He got sorosis of the liver and almost died from it. That was a very scary time for all of us.
He still drinks now but not as much as he did before. He cant drink as much as he’s gotten older he’s not able to drink as much.
