My heart pounds
My chest is tight
awakened with a night terror
get out of bed
try to become aware of my surroundings
and of my body
put the kettle on
make a cup of tea
Relax with my cup of tea
Feel its warmth as I drink it
finally I can breathe again.
awakened from slumber
by a vivid dream
too scared to go back to bed
oh how I hate bad dreams
they’re the absolute worst
try to focus
make a cup of tea
good morning, everyone!
The prompt word for this story starter was, help! A good prompt word I thought!
So here goes here is my take on it!
Help! She screamed as she jumped up out of bed! Something had startled her. She had heard a noise.
What is it? Her mom said running in!
I don’t know! She was shaking now, and starting to cry.
Big tears rolled down her face, as her mom hugged her tight.
Your ok! Nothing can harm you! Its going to be ok!
She tried to soothe her little girl, but she was so fearful it was difficult to get her to calm.
I thought, I thought someone was breaking in to our house!
No, no no! No one was doing that her mom soothed!
Now come on, come downstairs with me and I will make you a mug of hot chocolate!
The little girls eyes lit up at that suggestion. She hugged her mom one final time and then got out of bed and followed her to the door.
Are you sure its ok? She peeked around the door.
Yes, sweetie her mom said, I’m sure. Now come on, lets go!
Stand often in the company of dreamers: they tickle your common sense & believe you can achieve things which are impossible.

Yesterday is but today’s memory, and tomorrow is today’s dream.
Dream, Dare, Do.
Do you dream? If you do do you remember your dreams? Are they vivid?
My dreams are mostly vivid. sometimes I have night terrors and nightmares. I always almost always remember my dreams.
I hate that. I’d rather not remember them.
How about you?
