Book review: Through a mothers tears by Cathy broomfield

I just finished an amazing book, by a wonderful author, Cathy broomfield. She wrote a memoir, about losing not one, but two daughers.
One of her daughters was murdered by her husband, and the other one, died of heartbreak after losing her little sister.
Its a shocking account, and heartbreaking. However Cathy is raw, and very honest, and I have to say it moved me, the details of her daughter Kirstys murder are shocking though, not for the faint hearted, so do be aware of that if you read this book.
Its a pretty short read, in audio its just over 3 and a half hours in length. I read it in one sitting.
I was hooked right from the start!
Its available in audio from audible, on kindle, and in paperback from all good bookstores or from amazon.
I will put a description of the book below. Please do check it out.

Book description:

Cathy Broomfields youngest daughter, Kirsty, disappeared, Cathy hoped she had gone to stay with friends, to escape her brutal and bullying husband. But as the days passed with no word from Kirsty, a loving daughter who spoke to her mum every day, Cathy became increasingly anxious…until the day the police arrived at her door to tell her they had found a body. Her worst fears had been realised.

Through a Mothers Tears is the poignant and heartbreaking story of how Cathy lost not only Kirsty, her youngest daughter, but Kirstys big sister, Hayley, who died of heartbreak when the agony of her baby sisters loss became too much to bear. This harrowing audiobook will appeal to listeners of The Hospital and Cathy Glass.

Morning ramble

I am feeling good this morning. I feel good because I was able to go back to sleep, even though I woke up at 5 AM! I only stayed up for half an hour, then I went back to bed, and I slept until 9 AM! Yay! Sleeping in was good! It felt nice to be able to do that!
I had a nice breakfast and am now just messing around online, on twitter, reading blogs, I made coffee, it is delicious!
Life feels good! And I got trhough the summer solstice too so yay! I managed to get through it in one piece! For that, I am so grateful!
I talked to my mom this morning, she said it hasn’t rained yet at the campsite, I’d say we’ll have some rain later on today though, as its very cloudy outside and the sky looks dark too.
Mom is enjoying her trip. She said if it doesn’t rain she’s going to go walking this morning.
My friend Norma rang me, she is in a good mood. She just rang for a chat. Its nice to have friends who do that. I am so glad I do.
I have no plans today, just going to chill, relax, just do nothing, enjoy my free time. May have a bath later, for some self care, may read, I started a new book, just a child by Sammy woodhouse. Its good. I am on chapter 3 now.

My new read

I’ve started a new book tonight. Its called tiny prisoners and it is by Maggie Hartley. Its a good read so far. I’ve only read two chapters of it but so far I like it.

Maggie Hartley is a UK foster parent who writes about her experiences of fostering kids. All of her books are awesome. This is her very first book, but I never read it, I’ve read all of her other ones though.

I am taking a break from reading for a while to come and read some blog posts. Its almost 5 AM now. I havent slept at all. I have the radio on and am enjoying the early morning. The house is all quiet, except for nitro pottering around following me from one place to the other.
