Making sure I’m not MIA

My friend Pat phoned me this afternoon.

Apparently, he’s been trying to get hold of me for 3 days.

I didn’t even know.

He said he called me at home, and on my cell phone.

I didn’t answer, and he thought something was wrong.

Honestly? I didn’t hear my cell ringing. Sometimes I put it on mute. So I miss calls that come in.

I haven’t been at home much over the last couple of days.

Anyway, he and I had a good catch up.

I was able to reassure him that I am fine, and I told him not to worry.

I told him that if I wasn’t ok, I’d text him to tell him.

He’s so caring and I appreciate his concern.

I am so glad we had a catch up!

Good friends are so important.

  1. Nice to have friends that care. I text our two neighbours every morning just to make sure they’re OK as both live alone. One is in her 70s and the other 85. It’s a caring community here and several people have asked Hubby how I am as they haven’t seen me out walking the dog .
