Our therapist mystifies me!

She’s so caring, and I am not used to that!

I wrote to her the other night, saying I wasn’t going to come to therapy on Monday.

I told her it was pointless…that I can’t talk, and break the rules.

She wrote me back and here is what she said.

Kelli I’m 16

Hi all,

I got your emails today. Sorry to see that you were up so late and I know night time can be particularly difficult. I want to assure you all that I can well understand the different positions feelings and experiences that you have all had. It is ok to be scared and also angry. I can understand the fear of talking about the unspeakable. I also know the hurt and anger of the unknown…and the messages that have been drilled into you of "don’t talk". Even if you don’t want to come to therapy I can imagine the inner turmoil.

I will see you on Monday and I hope you find peace to sleep in the meantime.
