Who knew salad could taste so good?

I’ve really gotten to love salads.

I mean, you can dress it up in so many ways.

Mom made salad for me and her for our lunch today.

We had lettuce, red onion, peppers, and we put a vinegarette dressing on it.

We had turkey on the side, and pickles too.

And mom made fries with it, and I thought the hot fries, with the cold salad went well together.

I think though, it’s the dressing that makes a salad.

I’m on a mission to try a lot of different dressings this summer.

I’m glad it is coming into summer now, because, that means we can eat more salad.

Mom decided to have beetroot with hers, but I don’t like beetroot so I didn’t have any.

I don’t like tomatoes that are cold either. I like them in cooked things though, strange, isn’t it?

Anyway, I’m all full now, and very satisfied.

  1. I like a salad of spinach, walnuts, cranberries, feta cheese. You can put fruit in salad, like blueberries. Be creative! I usually like a plain vinaigrette dressing tho…not creative there 🙃

      1. It’s just the ones you get in a bag (lettuce, red cabbage, carrots), then I sometimes add cucumber and cherry/baby plum tomatoes. I have it with slices of roast chicken sometimes.

  2. Shopping this week I bought a lot of veggies and made a huge salad.  It’s hard for me to eat salads when it’s cold but I decided I’d force myself😂I also bought no sweets and of course already missing them😳My only sweet is in the form if a morning latte with espresso syrup

  3. Salads are not my favourite food and too many makes me retain water and put on weight. I like pickled beetroot and love fresh, but the latter gives me migraine. Sliced cucumber with onions, peppers, and chopped tomatoes cooked in a little vegetable oil makes a nice dressing and ‘side’ for a salad. I love tomatoes, and can eat the cherry ones like sweets.
