Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.
In 2011 I made the decision to end therapy with my then therapist, and look for someone new.
I did this because I was finding that my then therapists boundaries were not very good and I did not like how she was doing therapy.
It took me 9 months to find my current therapist Eileen.
I searched and searched, until I found her.
I was so lucky to find someone as experienced as Eileen.
I learned that there really is a right therapist out there for all of us.
The trick is to vet your therapist, and look and look until your happy with who you find.
That is what I did, and 10 years on I am still seeing Eileen.
She was the perfect fit for me.
She has wonderful boundaries, and she isn’t afraid to talk about ways she can help us, she’ll talk to us, not pushing any ideas or suggestions on to us.
I love her for that.
I am so glad now, that I did what I did in 2011.
It really was the best decision I ever made.
