Something people don’t seem to understand

Daily writing prompt
What’s something most people don’t understand?

People don’t understand blindness!

I try to be a person who explains to others what it is like to be blind and live as a blind person. I don’t know that I do a good job, but I do try hard to help others to understand it. There is a lot though that most people don’t seem to understand, they think being blind is the worst thing in the world, or that if your blind you are somehow not normal, not able to do certain things, etc. Which could be true, if you go blind late in life, but for someone like me whose been blind since birth, I have adapted, and am able to do most things successfully.

  1. I think as a blind person you have shown how well you cope with this situation. I salute your determination to live as fully and as well as anyone else.
