It was a zoo at the grocery store today

I went with Frances this morning to get my groceries.

We decided to go to Starbucks first. I had a chai latte and Frances had a hot chocolate.

We went from there to the post office. I needed to post some cd’s.

We finally got into the grocery store at around 9:45.

It was super busy. I was feeling very overwhelmed.

I got what I needed but when we were lining up to pay, we had to wait a half hour before we could check out!

The place was manic!

Everyone was shopping it seemed. The store even had to put more cashiers on the check outs.

Finally we had our turn.

Then, we went outside and I rang a taxi to take us home.

The taxi took 25 minutes to get to us.

When I got into the cab and paid the driver I gave him 10 euro.

He said my 10 euro was torn, so I couldn’t use it.

We finally got back to my house with only 10 minutes to spare before I had to leave again to go to my parents’ house.

It has definitely been a busy morning!

I got 5 euro off my shopping though, because I had a voucher which mom gave me.

All the food has gotten very expensive! I mean you need so much money now just to buy the basic items.

It’s crazy!

Anyway. I have what I need now. So I’m happy about that.

  1. I can agree with the ever-increasing expense! I went to the grocery and got milk, bread, eggs and coffee. $20 ($24 with tax). Basically 22 euro for those 4 items!!! It’s insane here. And that’s the cheaper option as even the dollar menu has doubled. Pfft. So I hear you loud and clear.

But the good news is that you had some fun. Not at the store, but before and hopefully at your parents house!
