In Canada “mac” is short for macaroni…but only when saying “Mac and cheese” otherwise the whole word is stated e.g. macaroni salad

  Did not know that, we don’t really eat a lot of Mac and cheese in Ireland. They do sell it but it’s not a big staple food here ✨✨💙💙
