  1. About the only thing I can lose myself in is my writing, and then only if it is going well. Even then, I know the depression is there, it’s just temporarily in second place. It’s a lot like when I was running in short pants in the cold. I knew it was cold outside, but I have other things I was giving my attention to. (Unless it was REALLY cold. Then I wouldn’t go running at all.)
