Sunday confessionals, I notice nature

Outside, you pitter patter, drip, drop, coming down hard now, I hear you, but then I snuggle under my duvet comforted by the sounds.

Glad to be indoors, I am lulled back into the land of nod.

I wake again, upon hearing the loud booms of thunder. If my dog were still here, he’d be so scared, he never did like thunder.

Flashes of lightning streak across the sky, lighting up my bedroom.

The storm rages on. I turn over in bed, and turn on my radio, to drown out the noise.
