  1. Karla and I got it in 2021. We’d both been vaccinated, so it wasn’t bad at all. I wouldn’t even have bothered to get tested it was so mild for me, Karla’s was a bit worse, but still not as bad as a bad cold or the flu. It has hit some people, especially those who aren’t vaccinated, very hard, I feel for those people.

      1. It’s definitely a personal choice whether to get vaccinated, but I just don’t understand how anyone could look at the risks and rewards, then decide not to get vaccinated. It’s their choice though. I guess that as someone old enough to know people hurt badly by polio, and to hear from them how other people they knew died or wound up in an iron lung, it just seems crazy not to get any vaccine that’s offered. In the US, we’re way above 1 million dead, and I’ve read that the actual number is probably above the official number. I don’t want to be one of those people.

  2. I don’t know if I’ve had it. I’ve had mild cold symptoms several times in the past three years but didn’t bother getting tested. The one time I did get tested (when I had a worse-than-average cold) it came back negative, but I found out too late that if you use a nasal irrigator (as I do), it washes all the evidence from your nasal passages and you can end up with a false negative. Oh well…

I’m not worried about getting covid. I’m in excellent health and have none of the risk factors that make covid dangerous, so my chances of surviving it are in the neighborhood of 99%, which for me puts it in the category of “not worth worrying about.”

  3. You know my answer is yes. I had it prior to vaccinations in 2020. I have a have comprised immune system and my lungs are bad, due to Lymes disease. We had to evacuate our home (and went to Idaho) because of nasty wildfires and the threat of our home being in the path of a fire. We were gone for 10 days and came back with Covid. My life has not been the same since.
